A dance form which includes a wide range of styles notably breaking, locking and popping and mostly performed to hip hop music, Hip Hop dance has been made popular by various dance crews in United States. Many television shows and movies have been inspired from this genre and earned a huge fan following. The top 10 Hip Hop Dance teams from television are:

10 Jabbawockeez:

The winners of first season of America’s Best Dance Crew; Jabbawockeez is an eight member male hip-hop crew. Their signature style of their performance is in white gloves and white masks. The group was established in 2003 and originally consisted of three members. They got additional members in their team by ways of auditions and dance battle rounds. Their first appearance on television was through second season of America’s Got Talent in which they were eliminated in the call back episode. In 2008 they auditioned for America’s Best Dance Crew and became the first ever dance crew to win the title. More info

9 Super Cr3w:

Super Cr3w is a 9 member hip-hop band from Las Vegas, Nevada who won the second season of America’s Best Dance Crew. They have strong connections with the Jabbawockeez in such a way that some members of one team are the part of another. They have made a lot of television appearances since 2000 and have been featured in a Pepsi commercial. They represented USA in the Battle of the Year 2009 and some members have judged the dance shows in the subsequent years. More info

8 Philippine All Stars:

Philippine All Stars are the winners of 2006 and 2008 World Hip Hop Dance Championships. Currently a group of 12 members, they started out as 4 friends who wanted to collectively represent their country in the World Hip-Hop Championships held in the US. In 2006, Allstars put the Philippines on the map of Hip-hop dance in becoming the first Asian country to win back-to-back World Gold titles in the International Hip-hop Open d’Ítalia in Turin, Italy and in the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships in Los Angeles, California. 7 Fanny Pak:

Fanny Pak is a ten-member contemporary and hip-hop trained dance crew from Los Angeles, California who bagged the third place on the second season of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. Their signature costume while performing includes bright clothes and bold patterns and fanny packs. They are the only dance crew to ever receive an award at the MTV Video Music Awards. They also went on the America's Best Dance Crew Live tour with Jabbawockeez, Super Cr3w, Breaksk8, and ASIID. In 2012, Fanny Pak was selected again to compete in the seventh season of America's Best Dance Crew, marking it the first dance crew that has competed on the show twice. More info

6 Diversity:

Diversity is a British street dance troupe based in London active since 2007. They are best known for winning the third series of Britain's Got Talent. The group, initially known as Swift Moves, and then Menace formed in 2004. After winning the show, Diversity appeared on various US television programs and magazines getting worldwide coverage and attention. They were also among the many torch bearers in London's 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, completing their leg of the journey on 22nd July 2012. More info

5 Kaba Modern:

A hip-hop group originating from California, Kaba Modern have been active since 1992. Kaba Modern has entered various multinational competitions and gained recognition in the media. The Kaba Modern family is divided into three sub-teams: Kreative Movement (formerly known as Kaba Kids), Kaba Modern UCI and Kaba Modern Legacy. The have come 2nd and 3rd in Hip Hop International 2007 and 2008 respectively. Some members of group have also helped choreographed ‘The Debut’ movie.

4 ReQuest Dance Crew:

ReQuest Dance Crew is an all-female hip-hop dance crew from Auckland, New Zealand. Formed in 2007, they’re one of the four crews within the Royal family. They won the first position in Varsity crews division in 2009 World Hip Hop Dance championships. In 2010 they participated again and won the Adults crew division. They have performed alongside Jennifer Lopez on the season finale of American Idol season 11. Their lead choreographer Paris Goebel was hired as a choreographer for JLO’s 2012 world tour.

3 Justice Crew:

Active since 2009, Justice Crew is an all-male Australian Hip Hop dance and pop music group. They have won the fourth season of Australia’s Got Talent in 2010. They ran free dance classes under the name of ‘Musicians Making a Difference’ to raise money for various charities. They entered the 2009 World Hip Hop Dance Championships competition and were placed 14th in the competition. They have signed up with Sony Music Australia for their music recordings. More info

2 Poreotics:

Poreotics is an American all-male dance crew from Westminster, California formed in 2007. They have performed in numerous hip hop dance competitions and several other dance programs including the Vibe 15, FUSION X, Body Rock, and World of Dance. In 2010, they were the winners of the fifth season of America's Best Dance Crew. In 2011 they were crowned as Team of the Year at the World of Dance awards. They have been featured in various music videos and YouTube channels.

1 We Are Heroes:

We Are Heroes is an all-female hip hop dance crew who were the first all-female crew to win America's Best Dance Crew (season 4). They took a trip with Culture Shock LA which is a non-profit hip-hop dance troupe to educate dancers, students, and audiences about the rich history of hip-hop, as well as its cultural relevance and relation to other art forms. They have made appearances in various television shows and music videos after their wins in the dance competitions. More info
