If you are the type of person that enjoys a good cigar then this is the top 10 list for you. If you want to go all out, you can sip some top cognac or top whiskey with your cigar, as we have compiled top 10 lists for those too. Once a year all of the cigar reviewers decide to get together and post a top 10-cigar list of the year. Therefore, without further ado here is my top 10 list of cigars for the year of 2012. Read on and see if you agree.

10 Alec Bradley Prensado Churchill 

Rounding out our top 10 list at number one is Alec Bradley Prensado Churchill cigars. This cigar is made with a combination of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco, which results in a chocolate and spice flavor that will have you wanting to light up another one right after the first. 

9 Warlock Robusto 

The Warlock Robusto has a silver and black band that surrounds a cigar that has just a hint of salt, which only expounds on the earthy flavor that has just a taste of wood at the end. The Warlock goes for around $6 a cigar and has a distinctive gothic lettering on the band that sets it apart. The taste of a Warlock is powerful and not easily forgotten. 

8 Punch Double Corona 

The Punch Double Corona cigar is one of the most popular cigars of modern times. They owe their distinct coffee flavor to the process that helps make them. The mother factory actually has a tasting room that employers use every morning to smoke a cigar then fill out a form that tells where there is room for improvement. The taste of punch double coronas is a taste that is layered. The coffee is the first taste to hit the senses, followed quickly by vanilla, the taste of fruits and finally the heady taste of nuts. These cigars also age well, adding even more to their allure. The price may be a little steep but the smoke is well worth it. 

7 Cabaiguan Guapo

Cabaiguan Guapo cigars are a part of a group of cigar names that most of the world cannot even pronounce. That doesn’t stop them from being a very popular brand of cigars however. The price on this cigar is not bad at around $11 a cigar. The aroma and flavor are some of the best around with sweet notes of cocoa powder mixed with a hint of black pepper and cedar, topped by a leather flavor as well.

6 Rocky Patel Fifteenth Anniversary Torpedo

Rocky Patel Fifteenth Anniversary Torpedo cigars have been nicknamed “A decade on steroids by their creator. The cigar is shaped like a torpedo, hence its name, and has two silver bands surrounding it. The cigar is dark pressed and has a draw that is full of coffee bean flavor mixed with cocoa. It has a delectable smell and is a steal really at around $11 a cigar.

5 Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Exclusivo Maduro 

Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Exclusivo Maduro cigars are a brand that humidors and cigar shops across the globe cannot do without. The size is thin and long but nothing takes away from the robust flavor and smell that you will experience every time you light one up. The price is around $11 a cigar and well worth the price. 

4 Partagas Serie P No. 2

The Partagas Serie P No. 2 cigars are very close to the top of our list just because of their distinctive flavor and the great smell that emits from the cigar when it is lit. The cigar sells at a price of around $18 and is well worth it with its black pepper aroma. The pepper is mixed with just a hint of coffee beans, leather and has an overlaying flavor of cappuccino. All of this combined makes this Cuban cigar one of the best on the market today.

3 Illusione Epernay Le Taureau

Illusione Epernay Le Taureau cigars are made without ligero tobacco lying to rest the rumor that for a cigar to be good, it has to be powerful. It is lighter and sweeter than other cigars but still has a great flavor and aroma. The Illusione sells for around $12 a cigar and has a sweet chocolate flavor with a hint of nuttiness. 

2 La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Belicoso 

La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Belicoso is a dark cigar that uses Connecticut broadleaf instead of Mexican leaf to give its cigars their distinctive blend of flavor. At around $8, these cigars cannot be beat with their heady aroma and taste of wood, nougat and an overlying taste of lots and lots of nuts. 

1 Casa Magna Colorado Diadema

The Casa Magna Colorado Diadema cigars have been a favorite of cigar smokers since the robusto was named cigar of the year in 2008. At the time it was named cigar of the year, many people said Casa what? It was a little known cigar and many smokers weren’t sure they wanted to try it. Now the Diadema version is out and is a bigger more ornate version of the robusto. The cigar resembles a fat long stick with a tip that is twisted up tight at the end. The price is around $9 and has a leather smell mixed with coco bean and cedar. This cigar is well worth the number 10 spot in our countdown.
